Mike Pence Accuses Democrats Of Surrendering To Mob Justice

By Thomas Smith

Vice President Mike Pence this week accused Democrats of surrendering to mob justice on matters pertaining to the culture wars.

Namely, Vice President Pence took issue with Nancy Pelosi seemingly turning a blind eye to the desecration of statues across the country.

“Tearing down monuments is not protests,” Pence said.

“Burning churches is not free speech. To have the Speaker of the House tacitly affirm the rule of the mob is unconscionable. For Speaker Nancy Pelosi to say ‘they will do what they will do’ is a surrender to the mob.

“We’re not going to have it. The American people know the foundation of our prosperity is law and order and the rule of law. We’re going to continue to stand strong for the rule of law against the rule of the mob.”

The Trump Administration has made standing up to the sort of behavior Vice President Pence described a central tenant of their 2020 re-election campaign. Time will tell how successful that strategy will ultimately prove to be.
